Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Sixteen everyday words per round; local practice measurement, not a certified assessment.
Read before acting
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Type the line exactly or maximise correct typing within sixty seconds. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Keep the controls in easy reach.
Step by step
- Start challenge.
- Type words and spaces as shown.
- Check speed and accuracy feedback.
- Exact completion or the timer ends the round.
Controls
Use a keyboard in the input field. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
A useful example
WPM uses correctly positioned characters divided by five and elapsed minutes. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Take a moment to compare.
Watch out for this
Pasting is not representative typing practice. Check the rule before repeating the action. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
