How to play Scorpion Solitaire

Take a moment with Scorpion Solitaire before moving to another game. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Review a difficult moment

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Review the board or playing area as it changes.

Step by step

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
